Description
This piece is from the Pure Potential Mine (aka North Geronimo Mine) in the Trigo Mountains of La Paz County, Arizona, USA. This closed mine contained 13 different minerals including vanadinite which contains the elements Pb, V, O, Cl and wulfenite which contains the elements Pb, Mo and O. This piece consists of a breccia quartz matrix that is topped with druse vanadinite crystals and tabular wulfenite crystals. Both types of crystals have a reddish-orange color. This piece measures 1 1/2 x 1 1/4 x 3/4 inches or 38 x 32 x 19 mm.
