This wulfenite Is from the Ahumada Mine in the Los Lamentos Mountains, Mun, de Ahumada, Chihuahua, Mexico. Two dozen different mineral species have been identified from this mine but it is famous for the large blocky wulfenite crystals found there. Wulfenite is a molybdenite that contains the elements Pb, Mo and O. This specimen is made up of a cluster of attached and interpenetrating wulfenite crystals with minor goethite matrix attached. It measures 2 x 1 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches or 50 x 38 x 32 mm.
