Description
This vanadinite is from the Mibladen Mining District, Midelt, Morocco. This area contains dozens of commercial mines including small diggings that are mined specifically for vanadinite specimens. It is a phosphate mineral that contains the elements Pb, V, O and Cl. This specimen is a plate like formation consisting of dozens of complete intact and damage free crystals and can be displayed from any angle. They have a vitreous to bright glass luster. This piece measures 3 x 2 1/8 x 1 1/16 inches or 76 x 53 x 25 mm.
