These turquoise crystal are from the Bishop Mine, Lynch Station, Campbell County, Virginia USA. Natural turquoise is rarely found in crystal form. The crystals found at most locations are microscopic in size. One of the best locales for euhedral and visible crystals was the Bishop Mine. This is a schist matrix, sawed on the bottom, that hosts scattered deposits of turquoise crystals. The crystals are best viewed under magnification. It measures 2 1/16 x 7/8 x 7/8 inches or 53 x 22 x 22 mm.
