This tourmaline crystal, variety dravite, is from Mwajanga, Simadjiro District, Manyara Provice, Tanzania. Dravite is a boron silcate in the tourmaline series of minerals. It contains the elements Na, Mg, Al, Si, B, O and H. It can be found in a variety of colors ranging from blue to brown. This crystal has a light amber color and is transparent with a vitreous luster.
