This topaz is from Marambaia in Carai, Minas Gerais, Brazil. This locale contains four known mineral species including topaz. It is a silicate that contains the elements Al, Si, O, F, O and H. Different trace elements in the crystal lattice and/or natural radiation can produce a wide range of colors and hues in topaz crystals. This crystal has a two-tone color with a champagne colored core and darker sherry highlights. It measures 3/4 x 5/8 x 5/8 inches or 19 x 16 x 16 mm.
