This sulfur is from the Maybee Quarry in Maybee, Monroe County, Michigan, USA. This is a limestone aggregate quarry that contains eight associated minerals including the native element sulfur. This is a floater crystal that has been modified and altered with etched or complex sufaces on all sides. It is free of matrix and is terminated on all sides. It has a bright canary yellow color and is translucent under bright light. It has a vitreous luster. It measures 2 1/4 x 1 1/4 x 1 3/16 inches or 57 x 32 x 31 mm.
