Description
These quartz crystals are from Jinlong Hill in Longchuan County, Heyuan Prefecture, Guangdong Province of China. This is a small locale that is mined by the locals for the recovery of hematite and quartz pieces. Hematite comes in a variety of forms including specularite which are formations of flakes or tabular anhedral crystals. This specimen consists of tabular crystal rosettes of lamellae specularite crystals at the base and scattered about the acicular cluster of quartz crystals. The crystals are all intact and terminated and the piece can be displayed from all sides. This piece measures 2 3/4 x 2 1/4 x 2 1/8 inches or 70 x 57 x 53 mm.
