This bright silver specimen is from the Aghbar Mine in Bou Azzer, Souss-Massa Draa Region, Morocco. This is a heavy piece ( almost 1 LB ). It is entirely made up of crystaline skutterudite that is topped skutterudite crystals and some minor calcite. The display side is covered with mirror bright crystals up to 10 mm. The piece measures 2 11/16 x 2 1/4 x 1 11/16 inches or 68 x 57 x 43 mm.

This skutterudite is from the Aghbar Mine in Bou Azzer District, in Tazenakht, Ouarzazate Province, Draa-Tifilaletfilet Region, Morocco. This a mineral rich region that contains 234 mineral species including skutterudite. It is an arsenide that contains the elements Co and As. This specimen is a heavy piece ( almost 1 LB ). It is entirely made up of crystalline skutterudite that is topped with crystals and some minor calcite. The display side is covered with dozens of silver, mirror bright, crystals up to 10 mm. The piece measures 2 11/16 x 2 1/4 x 1 11/16 inches or 68 x 57 x 43 mm.
