Silver – Native wire Mass from Creede District, Colorado

This native silver is from the Creede Mining District, Mineral County, Colorado, USA. This District contains hundreds of mines that produced 90 different mineral species. The mines were primarily operated for the recovery of silver, gold and other metals. This specimen is a natural mass of twisted and turned wires of native silver. It is free floating with out any matrix or central attachment point. It measures approximately 33 x 27 x 13 mm.
