Description
This native silver on cuprite crystal cluster is from the Rubtsovskoe Cu-Zn-Pb deposit, Rudnyi Altai, Altaisskii Krai, Western-Siberian Region, Russia. This deposit contains 60 different mineral species including the copper oxide cuprite and the native element silver. This specimen consists of a cluster of large interpenetrationg bipyramidal cuprite crystals with intact crystals on all sides and surfaces. They have a reddish-silver color and metallic luster. They host copious deposits of silver crystals. This piece measures 1 3/4 x 1 9/16 x 15/16 inches or 45 x 39 x 24 mm.
