This serandite is from Mont Saint-Hilaire in La Vallee-du-Richelieu RCM, Monteregie, Quebec, Canada. Over 450 different mineral species including Serandite have been found as accessory minerals in the stone quarries located here. Serandite is a silicate that contains the elements Na, Mn, Si O and H. This is a fan shaped formation of blade-like elongated serandite crystals with druse deposits of an unidentified mineral attached.This piece measures 2 5/16 x 1 x 5/8 inches or 60 x 25 x 16 mm.
