Description
These scheelite crystals are from the Yaogangxian Mine, Xaogangxian W-Sn Ore Field, Tizhang, Chenzhou Prefecture, Hunan Province of China. Tungsten and tin minerals are the primary ores extracted from multiple ore bodies in an area spanning 4 x 2.5 km. Seventy-eight different species of minerals are found there Including the tungstate – scheelite. This specimen consists of a thin plate of octahedral scheelite crystals. The largest crystal measures approximately 17 mm diagonally. This piece is a small miniature that measures 29 x 25 x 13 mm
