This scapolite is from the Kamur District of Tamul Nadu, India.This locale contains several mines in which seven different minerals can be found including scapolite. It is a tectosillicate that contains the elements Ca, Al, Si, O and C. This is a transparent light honey colored crystal. It has a lightly etched surface, glass luster and it is double terminated. The basal termination has a healed surface (photo 4). It measures 1 1/8 x 3/8 x 5/16 inches or 30 x 9 x 8 mm. It weighs 20 carats
