Description
This quartz with graphite is from Cong Ly in the Hunan Province, China. This are produces a variety of quartz crystals including scepter, enhydros and double terminated crystals like these. This is a formation composed of all double terminated crystals. The crystals are transparent and are included by black graphite (carbon) inclusions and graphite phantoms. Their luster is glassy and the point of attachment is hard to see at the bottom right in the photo. This piece measures 2 9/16 x 2 7/16 x 3/4 inches or 65 x 63 x 19 mm.
