This pyrrhotite is from Dal’negorsk, Kavalerovo mining district, Primorkiy Kray, Far Eastern Region, Russia.This region contains nine known deposits in which 190 minerals can be found including pyrrhotite. It is a sulfide that contains the elements Fe and S. This specimen has a mound like shape with crystals on all sides. The crystals include pyrrhotites,galena, quartz, micro dolomite and sphalerite. The piece measures 4 1/8 x 2 5/8 x 2 5/8 inches or 105 x 67 x 67 mm.
