Description

This pyromorphite is from the Daoping Mine in Congcheng Co., Guilan Prefecture, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. This is a lead-zinc deposit containing 13 different mineral species including pyromorphite. It is a lead phosphate that contains the elements Pb, P, O, and Cl. This specimen consists of stacked clusters of tabular, barrel shaped and druse pyromorphite crystals on a remnant limonite matrix.There are small blebs of an unknown black mineral scattered about the piece. All crystals are intact and the specimen can be displayed from several angles. It measures 1 3/4 x 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches or 45 a 39 x 40 mm.
