Description
This pyromorphite is from the Daoping Mine in Congcheng Co., Guilan Prefecture, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China. This is a lead-zinc deposit containing 13 different mineral species including pyromorphite. It is a lead phosphate that contains the elements Pb, P, O, and Cl. This specimen consists of rolling clusters of barrel shaped and druse pyromorphite crystals on a mixed crystalline pyromorphite and limonite matrix. The specimen can be displayed from several angles. It measures 2 1/4 x 1 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches or 57 x 45 x 45 mm.
