Description
This pyrargyrite is from Fresnillo de Gonzalez Echeverria (Fresnillo), Fresnillo Municipality, Zacatecas, Mexico. This area contains several Mines that contain 40 different minerals including the silver sulfide pyrargyrite. This specimen consists of a mass of euhedral crystals of pyrargyrite with minor oxides present. The crystals display complex twinned and multi-terminated growth. It can be displayed from all sides and it has a small former attachment point at the base as displayed. It measures 1 1/4 x 1 x 15/16 inches or 32 x 25 x 24 mm.
