Description
This plumbogummite is from the Yangshou Mine in Yangshou County, Guilan Prefecture, Guangxi, China. This is a lead-zinc deposit containing 15 different mineral species including the lead phosphates pyromorphite and plumbogummite. This specimen consists of a pair of large (for the species) terminated pyromorphite crystals that have been partially replaced by plumbogummite. The yellow green crystals are well defined with hoppered terminations. The surfaces of the crystals have been replaced with a layer of blue-green micro plumbogummite crystals. The specimen can be displayed from all sides and angles. This specimen measures 1 3/8 x 1 1/4 x 5/8 inches or 35 x 32 x 16 mm.
