This petalite crystal is from the Palelni Mine, Khetchel Village, Molo Quarter, Shan State, Myanmar. This mine contains 13 different minerals including petalite which is sometimes found in gem form. This petalite crystal is relatively large for the locale and it has etched surfaces which is common for all petalite crystals. It has varying degrees of translucency and the color varies from brown to beige. The surfaces are striated and have a matte to glass luster. It measures 45 x 30 x 18 mm
