This peridot is from Sapat Gali in the Naran-Kaghan Valley in the Mansehra District of the North-West Frontier Province of Pakistan. This is a mountainous area that contains 12 different minerals Including peridot and magnetite. Peridot is in the olivine group of minerals and is also part of the fosterite series of minerals. It contains the elements Mg, Si, and O. Magnetite is an iron oxide that contains the elements Fe and O. This is an aesthetic piece that consists a well defined magnetite crystal that hosts a small cluster of parallel peridot crystals. It displays well from all sides. It measures 15 x 15 x 14 mm.
