This native gold nugget is from the Idaho Springs Mining District, Clear Creek County, Colorado, USA. This District contained dozens of gold mines exploiting both placer and lode deposits. This specimen is a native gold nugget. It measures approximately 10 x 6 x 5 mm and it weighs 2.3 grams.
