These mimetite crystals are from the Santa Eulalia Mining District,  Mun.de Aquiles Serdan, Chihuahua, Mexico. This district encompasses a large area that contains over a dozen mines. Mining activities are primarily for the extraction of silver and other metals. There a over 180 different types of minerals found at this district including mimetite. Mimetite is a lead arsenate that contains the elements Pb, As, O and Cl. This specimen has a matrix that consists of a mix of mimetite and oxides that is topped with prismatic crystals of mimetite. This piece measures 48 x 29 x 24 mm
