Description
These mimetite crystals are from the Pingtouling Mine i Liann County, Qingyuan Prefecture, Guangdong Province, China. This lead-zinc deposit contains seven different minerals including mimetite. It is an arsenate that contains the elements Pb, As, O and Cl. This specimen consists of a thin limonite/goethite matrix that is topped with lustrous hexagonal crystals. This piece measures 13/16 x 5/8 x 3/8 inches or 20 x 16 x 9 mm.
