This magnesite and uvite crystal mix is from the Pomba Pit in Serra das Egus, Brumado, Bahia, Brazil. This mine is a commercial producer of magnesite and talc however uvite and other accessory minerals, including emeralds are found there. The mine owners enforce a ban on mineral collecting that includes the miners that work there. This piece consists of a mix of rhombic magnesites and greenish-brown uvite tourmalines. They form a mound-like formation with crystals on all sides. This piece measures approximately 7/8 x 13/16 x 11/16 inches or 22 x 18 x 17 mm.
