Description
This linarite is from the Blanchard Mine in Bingham, Hansonburg District, Socorro County, New Mexico, USA. This is an old lead mine that contained over 50 different minerals including linarite. It is a lead sulfate that contains the elements Pb, Cu, S, O and H. This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that is topped with druse crystals and crust-like deposits of linarite, brochantite, anglesite and calcite.
