This hubnerite is from the Huayllapon Mine in Pasto Bueno, Pampas District, of the Pallasca Province, Ancash Department of Peru. This mineĀ This mine contains 15 different species of minerals and is most famous for the hubenerite and rhodochrosite specimens found there. Hubnerite is in the Wolframite Group and it is an oxide containing the elements Mn, W, and O. This specimen consists of large elongated parallel hubnerite crystals with minor quartz and native arsenic crystals attached. This piece measures 2 5/16 x 7/8 x 11/16 inches or 58 x 22 x 20 mm
