Description
This hematite Iron Rose is from Brumado, Bahia, Brazil. Two Locations are listed for hematite in Brumado. Both are at the magnesite mines at Serra das Eguas although some labeled specimens simply say Brumado. This specimen is on the large size as it is made up of several “iron rose” formations of varying sizes that culminate in a larger formation at the top of the piece. It weighs over 14 oz. It measures approximately 90 x 67 x 42 mm
