Description
This native gold in quartz is from Western Australia. The gold fields of Western Australia are vast and contain hundreds of mines and claims that vary from surface collecting to underground mining. This specimen consists of a quartz matrix that contains visible deposits of gold on the surfaces shown in the photos. The specimen including both quartz and gold weighs 4.07 grams. It measures approximately 16 x 16 x 9 mm.
