This galena crystal is from the Elmwood Mine in Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee, Ba-F-Pb-Zn District, Tennessee, USA. This mine contains three shafts called the Elmwood, Cumberland, and Gordonsville. It has an entry slope called the Stonewall. They contain eleven different minerals including galena which is a minor ore mineral. This specimen consists of a thin almost tabular complex galena crystal. It is a floater with terminated surfaces on all sides. This piece measures 1 3/16 x 13/16 x 7/16 inches or 31 x 18 x 11 mm.
