This fluorite is from the Hilton Mine in Scordale, Hilton, Scordale, Escarpment District, Cumbria, England, United Kingdom. This mine was worked for the recovery of galena. It contains 22 associated and gangue minerals including fluorite. It a halide that contains the elements F and Ca. This specimen consists of dozens of translucent, cubic, fluorite crystals on a thin druse quartz matrix. Photo 3 shows a similar piece in LW UV light. This piece measures 1 7/8 x 1 3/8 x 1 1/8 inches or 48 x 35 x 28 mm.
