Description
This fluorite is from the Mont Blanc Massif, Chamonix, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, Bonneville, Haute-Savoie, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, France. This is a mountainous area with alpine type deposits that contain that various quartz deposits including some with the associated rare pink colored fluorite. It is a halide that contains the elements Ca and F. This specimen consists of a transparent quartz crystal point that is topped with dozens of pink octahedral fluorite crystals up to 5 mm on edge. They have a vitreous to glass luster. It Measures 22 x 19 x 16 mm
