This fluorite crystal is from the Huanggang Fe-Sn deposit in the Hexigten Banner, Ulanhad League, Inner Mongolia, China. This tin-iron deposit contains over 60 different mineral species including many different types of fluorite. It is a halide that contains the elements Ca and F. This specimen is an example of both a rare color and rare morphology. It is pink and translucent and it has a bi-pyramidal octahedral habit. It measures 17 x 14 x 14 mm.
