Description
This fluorapatite is from the Panasqueira mines locale in Covilha, Castelo Branco District, This is a large tin-tungstun mine that contains 87 different minerals. It is famous for the many outstanding mineral specimens found there including its fluorapatite. This piece consists of a plate like formation of primarily marcasite crystals that hosts an aesthetic band of fluorapatite crystals. It measures 5 x 3 x 1 3/8 inches or 130 x 75 x 35 mm.
