This erythrite crystals are from Aghbar, Tazenakht, Ouarzazate Province, Draa-Tifilalet Region, Morocco. This locale has two active mines that contain 53 mineral species including erythrite. It is an arsenate that contains the elements Co, As, O and H. This specimen consists of a rich cobalt ore matrix that hosts prismatic and micaceous crystals of erythrite in an exposed vug like depression.The crystals are purple to magenta. Some crystals around the perimeter have natural contact points. The piece measures 3 x 2 1/8 x 2 inches or 76 x 53 x 50 mm.
