Description
This dravite tourmaline is from the Rampura-Aguchi Zn Deposit in the Biwara District, Ajmer Division, Rajasthan, India. Dravite is in the tourmaline group of minerals. It is a silicate that contains the elements, Na, Mg, Al, Si, O, B and H. This specimen has This fine crystal has pyramidal terminations, nine prism face and a greasy to vitreous luster. Its complete and intact with a natural crystal attachments on the rear side (photo 3). It has a golden amber translucency when back lighted ( photo 4 ). This crystal measures 1 1/2 x 1 1/4 x 1 inches or 38 x 32 x 25 mm.
