This dravite tourmaline is from the Rampura-Aguchi Zn Deposit in the Biwara District, Ajmer Division, Rajasthan, India. Dravite is in the tourmaline group of minerals. It is a silicate that contains the elements, Na, Mg, Al, Si, O, B and H.This fine crystal has pyramidal terminations, nine prism faces and a greasy to vitreous luster. It has a golden amber translucency when strongly back lighted as in the photos. This crystal measures 1 7/16 x 1 x 7/8 inches or 37 x 25 x 22 mm.
