This cuproaustinite is from the Gold Hill Mine in the Gold Hill Mining District, Tooele County, Utah, USA. This mine is famous for the variety of secondary minerals of copper found there including cuproaustinite. It contains the elements Ca, Zn, Cu, As, O and H, This specimen consists of a gossan breccia matrix that is covered on the display side with rich deposits of cuproausinite crystals. This piece measures 1 5/8 x 1 9/16 x 7/8 inches or 41 x 39 x 22 mm.
