This cuprite and chrysocolla is from the Mashamba West Mine, Sicomines copper-cobalt project, Kolwezi Mining District, Lualaba, DR Congo. This mine is know for the outstanding mineral specimens found there. It contains 25 different minerals including cuprite and chrysocolla. This piece consists of a heavy stone matrix that is topped with octohedral cuprite crystals and botryoidal chrysocolla.
