This cubanite is from the Henderson No. 2 Mine in Jamesie, Nord-du-Quebec, Quebec, Canada. This is a gold mine located in the Chibougamau mining district and it contains a dozens different minerals including the uncommon copper iron sulfide cubanite. This piece consists of a plate-like matrix that is topped with clusters of twinned and complex brassy to iridescent cubanite crystals. There are also calcite crystals associated with the cubanite. This piece measures 3 x 2 1/2 x 1 inches or 76 x 64 x 25 mm.
