Description

This native copper is from the White Pine Mine at White Pine, Ontonagon County, Michigan, USA. This mine dates back to 1880. It produced four billion pounds of copper including many crystal copper specimens for collection. This piece is a curved fan-like formation composed of arborescent and spinel twinned copper crystals. Some crystals, especially at the base, have tenorite associated with them. This piece measures  4 1/2 x 3 x 5/16 inches or 114 x 76 x 8 mm.
