Description
These native copper crystals are from the Gull Rock or Grand Marias Vein, Eagle Harbor, Keweenaw County, Michigan, USA. This is an underwater vein from which collectors recovered several hundred kilograms of crystallized copper specimens. This piece well defined fairly large crystals that have a reddish copper color with some contrasting oxidized surfaces and minor matrix present. It measures approximately 2 7/8 x 1 1/16 x 3/4 inches or 73 x 26 x 19 mm.
