These copper crystals are from the Dzhezkazgan Mining District in the Karaganda Region of Kazakhstan. This is a large copper deposit that contains several shafts that mine the deposits for copper/zinc minerals and ores. Several outstanding mineral specimens come from the district including native copper. This piece consists of several branching clusters of well defined elongated crystals with minor matrix attached. It measures 3 x 1 15/16 x 1/2 inches or 76 x 49 x 12 mm.
