This native copper specimen is from the Tigroney Mine, Avoca, Wicklow County, Ireland. Mining at this locale dated back to the mid-18th century. Ming took place both underground and open pit. It contained 13 different minerals including various metal ores and native copper. This piece is a crystallized native copper made up of small crystals that are best viewed under magnification. It measures 32 x 30 x 20 mm.
