Description
This citrine quartz is from Galileia in the Doce Valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil. There are several mines and claims located in this pegmatite rich area and they are operated for the recovery of gemstones and mineral specimens. These large crystals are transparent and mostly eye clean. The area near the base is transparent but veiled. They are large and weigh 2 pounds and 6 ounces. The piece measures 7 x 5 x 3 1/4 inches or 178 x 127 x 83 mm
