This cerussite is from the Mibladen Mining District in Midelt, Meknes-Tifilalet Region, Morocco. This area was commercial mined for various ore minerals and it contained 21 mineral species. Local miners continue to recover cerussite mineral specimens for collectors from the old workings. Cerussite is a carbonate mineral containing the elements Pb, C, and O. This is a pair of parallel crystals with minor barite matrix on the base and rear. They have complex growth and multiple terminations. They are translucent under strong light and their luster is greasy to vitreous. This piece measures 1 1/2 x 1 1/8 x 1 inches or 38 x 28 x 25 mm.
