These cerussites are from the Ojuela Mine in Mapimi, Durango, Mexico. This historical mine produces 117 different mineral species including cerussite. It is a carbonate mineral containing the elements Pb, C, and O.  This specimen consists of a mixed matrix of cubic pyrite crystals that hosts dozens of cerussite crystals and clusters of crystals. These crystals display hoppered growth and twinned characteristics including the vee and cycle twin variety. They have a bright silver grey color and a sub-adamandine to matte luster. This specimen measures 1 7/8x 1 1/8 x 7/8 inches or 48 x 28 x 22 mm.
