This celestite (celestine) is from Yonghe in Liuyang County, Hunan Province, China. It is a natural celestine crystal formation that formed in a grey-black metamorphic matrix. The chrysanthemum or flower-like clusters are exposed by sandblasting, grinding and polishing the matrix. This piece measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/8 x 7/8 inches or 140 x 114 x 22 mm
