These carrollite crystals are from Kamoya, in the Kambove District, Katanga Copper Cresent, Katanga, D.R. Congo. There are six commercial mines in this area and they contain fifteen different minerals including carrollite. It is a sulfide and a cobalt ore containing the elements Cu, Co, S.This piece consists of a calcite and carrollite matrix that hosts mirror bright silver carrollite crystals including a twinned crystal. This piece measures 2 3/8 x 2 1/4 x 1 13/16 inches or 60 x 57 x 46 mm. The crystals are 5/16 and 8mm across
